It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my Father’s passing. He was not just an incredible Dad, but also my boss and colleague throughout my adult life. For the last six weeks, we watched him battle illness, and we feel grateful that we were able to be by his side during his final days. Surrounded by myself, my mum, my sisters, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and some close friends, we found solace in each other as we said our goodbyes. It feels unbelievable that just six weeks ago, we were in India on our annual buying trip, creating further memories that I will cherish forever.
My Father built JUGs…Indian Furniture into something truly special, not just through his impeccable eye for beautiful furniture, but through the friendships he fostered with both suppliers and customers. His legacy will live on in the shop, which will continue to operate just as he envisioned, honouring his memory and the warmth he brought to everyone who walked through our doors. We will carry his spirit with us in everything we do, ensuring that his love for this business remains at the heart of JUGs.
Bye bye Russell, known as Boss man, Old Wise One, Uncle, Mr Russ, Pops, but most importantly; My Dad. Love you always and forever, Rest in Peace now lovely Man. xxx
Dear Kristy, we have bought items from you many times and have always been struck by the very personal touch Jugs give their customers – no doubt a legacy from the wonderful way your father has built your business. Our heartfelt wishes to you, Ian and Jan
Dear Kristy, so very sad to learn of your amazing dad’s passing. I echo what Ian has says about Jugs very personal touch and how you walk through the door a customer but always leave as a dear friend. Again, I’m sure this was passed on from your wonderful dad. I know how excited you were upon returning from your recent trip to India and may those joyous memories give you all comfort during what must be a very difficult and painful time for you all. Much love, Andrea xxx
