In January and February when it’s cold inside and out, many of us think about getting away on holidays to far-away places in the sun.

It’s definitely not a holiday, but Kristy and I are off to India on our first buying trip of the year this February.

It’ll be hot in Rajasthan, and a chance for us to be immersed in the buzz of dusty Indian streets teeming with life.

When we get back, our shop is a constant reminder of all that I love about India – it’s full of unique furniture, and things that capture the colours, the designs, the exotic textures, the smells… and the beauty of the ancient desert cities of Jodphur and Jaipur.

And unlike modern, mass produced stuff, everything we sell is made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from generation to generation, and is mostly made from reclaimed timbers.
