A beautiful old hand carved stone niche that shows effects of weathering with a remnant of original paint that once would have been set in the wall beside a doorway to house candles/small light. Originating from the beautiful blue city of Jodhpur this gorgeous item resonates history, culture, place and people.

Visual Description

These all vary in their design and condition. It is usual to have an inset within them and various decoration carvings in the stonework. Some will have remnants of old paintwork. Most will have chips or rough stone in areas.

Uses

Once used within the walls of an attractive building such as a haveli, these would usually contain a candle, flowers or other important figures for worship. An attractive piece for the garden, enabling you to create an unique and appealing feel to your surroundings.
