WOODEN PARAT BOWLS
These gorgeous vintage wooden Parat bowls originates from out in the Thar desert of Rajasthan and has been individually hand carved from a single block of old teak wood. Originally used to mix ingredients in for making breads and alike, these bowls are evocative of the everyday and rhythm to life in India and could continue to be used for this purpose or possibly as a fruit bowl. A tactile object, revealing all the hand made marks of many, many years ago, and repairs along the way – a wonderful and original item, full of charm and character; gorgeous.
