CHARMING WOODEN BENCHES
Constructed from teak wood are these vintage charming wooden benches. A skilled craftsman from Jodhpur has created these with a fixed top, allowing for a brass ink well, which still remains today. Above all, my favourite feature, are the original, unique, engraved initials and marks that you can also see, therefore adding to their authenticity and character.
Visual Description
Made from teak wood, you will see that these wonderful old school benches sit low to the ground, which allows for the student to sit on the floor to work at them. More often than not, they still have their original brass ink wells in place. Also, school children from years gone by, have each left their unique marking on the tops, in the form of initials and other indents. You will find many natural teak colouring, from dark to light brown.
Uses
You could use these wonderful benches in the hallway/entrance way to place your shoes beneath. Or you would be able to display your household plants on top, as an alternative.
