EYE-CATCHING TEAK CABINET

A wonderful eye-catching teak cabinet that resonates skilled artisan craftsmanship. It has been constructed using reclaimed old teak wood. The doors each have a glass panel above an exquisite hand carved panel. These panels are very individual, one with a floral motif, while the other has a ‘tree-like’ motif. Inside the cupboard area an inner shelf has been fitted to provide further storage options. An additional feature to this item are the lower ‘drawers’ which actually are both hinged to become drop doors. A truly delightful cabinet that brings craftsmanship with practicality and a sense and flavour of Jodhpur.

A simply stunning and eye-catching teak cabinet from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Constructed from old teak wood this particular item of furniture has a number of key features. Firstly, one is drawn by the exquisitely hand carved panels which adorn the doors. They are individual in design briginging elements of flora into the piece. Each door has a glass panel while one of them has a beaded column with a delicately turned finial at the top. You will find inside the cupboard area a fitted shelf that provides further storage options. Below each door there is a ‘drawer’ that actually is hinged and becomes a drop-like door revealing further storage areas. There is a metal handle attached to one of the doors, while each has an old enamel door knob fixed. A beautiful item of furniture that resonates craftsmanship and history.

Uses

You could probably best utilise this wonderful item of furniture in your living/dining room where some items can be displayed, if required.
